WWFB: “Whatever, Man” Edition
The scene: Québec, Canada. You’re wandering the city and find yourself in the charming Saint-Roch neighborhood. It’s summer, so you assume there must be sangria to be had. It’s 5:00 somewhere, amirightpeople? Not here, but somewhere, surely.
We saw a cute café with patrons (pro tip: sometimes the people can be trusted) and air conditioning, so we moseyed in and found a table.
We ordered the red (rouge) sangria and after a puzzlingly long wait, this yellow stuff came out (jaune?? mon dieu!).
But…it had taken a really long time to prepare so we know they made it special for us, and our waitress was really sweet, and we didn’t *really* care about the color, and we had nowhere to be for at least 16 hours, so we figured…Eh, we can try the red when we order our next pitcher. #leanin #yaycanada!
VERDICT: 9/10. Come for the red sangria. Stay for the yellow sangria. Then stay longer for the red sangria. And some snacks. You definitely need something to soak up all the wine.
